I'd really like a layperson version of his blackhole explanation. While it makes sense that Jennifer would explain it the way she did, given that it was a thesis defense, I'd like to understand it more.

Based on the fact that she’d travelled back in time, wouldn’t it have been against protocol to publish information and theories based on the scientific discoveries of the future? Wouldn’t that have put the future in jeopardy, changing the future?
