Is it terrible that I'm searching for more strong lead characters?Christina Rose wrote: ↑05 Dec 2017, 19:22Underdogs rising to the top is a favorite of mine, as well.micoleon13 wrote: ↑04 Dec 2017, 14:52 I really like stories which incorporate an underdog character, so for me, it would definitely be Brimstone /Leaf
I feel like every fantasy story is an underdog anymore. Lead characters are always new to their talent, in training, bequeathed something, set unto a quest by others, fate throws destiny in their lap etc etc.
I do love my underdog stories, but let's have a sarcastic, narcissist be the protagonist...just once?

How I love a well-developed character. It allows me to grow in to the story more; become immersed in what's going to play out!Barbiedole wrote: ↑03 Dec 2017, 17:55 Brimstone also did it for me. His character was well developed and I liked the way his rise to mage was portrayed.
