I think girl power. But there was a lot of teamwork as well.

I think friendship was way more important in the book than girl power to be honest, and self discovery even, because there was a great deal those women worked about their own personalities throughout the book.

I think its girl power. They showcased girls with different problems and how they all alone cop up with it. So I think it's girl power.

The strongest theme for me is 'real sisterhood' as opposed to blood sister relationships that may or may not be true friendships. Here, five random women are there for each other, through thick and thin.

Even though there is a sense of girl power In the book, the strong bond of the female characters stood out for me.

I agree with you...I thought that the themes of friendship were important in the book
Reading gives us somewhere to go when we have to stay where we are

Sisterhood is the strongest theme in the book. If we try to combine all the themes, such as friendship, teamwork, understanding and care for each other, into one word than the word is Sisterhood.

I agree that 'girl power' doesn't quite fit as the strongest theme. The strength and rejuvenation that the group of women absorbed through their time spent together leans more towards the power of friendship. Friendship provides the ability to lean on one another to get through the difficult moments in life while also enjoying each other's company. The respite provided from sharing the burdens and joys with friends provides each women with the strength, courage, and wisdom to lead healthy lives.

For me, it was pure friendship and acceptance. They all had their faults, but the accepted each other.

I agree, there is something almost mystical in the pages of this book. I loved the scenery, I could almost hear the sound of the river, fish popping out of the water, girly laughs. The book is about sisterhood and loving each other. Counting on each other and being there to build something real.

I think the strongest theme was the power of friendship. Each person added a whole new dynamic to the group and they were always there for each other. Despite their differences, they forged a beautiful and uplifting friendship.

Definitely girl power. All our main characters are female, with POV switches among them all. Not one XY chromosome took the reins, and the focus was less on spousal relationship than on the friendships the ladies shared.
