varies in different conditions...
if all other points failed, then at last ,definitely the gun is the last option to defend oneself

I would NEVER use or possess a gun, but I do believe every free citizen should have that right.

I believe that what the world has become today due to gun violence and how people have lost there lives due to it I wouldn’t have a gun in my house but then you have to look around you and think 🤔 am I safe without a gun. Is my family safe without it. It’s better to have and not need then need it and not have it.

No I don't think a gun is the answer or not the only answer. There is far more important ways to protect your family then a gun. First, starting with a security system or training in a self protection class. I think a gun should be a last resort. A gun is man made not giving to us from God.

Let's get the straight guns used properly cam protect but if used with the wrong idea it can harm a lot I think gun r good somehow but should be used by their owner.

I come from a society where guns are banned. Even off duty security agents are never armed-I used to be one. Still, I feel safe walking/driving on the streets even when it's late. I personally don't see the need to own weapons for whatever reason.

I do not think we should rely on guns as the answer. I don't think every person should be able to carry a gun, especially if they do not know how to properly use it. Obviously guns do have their uses, especially in the police.

It depends on the situation. A gun or other means of self-defense could prove handy. For example, if you are attacked by wild animals, a gun would be the ideal weapon in such a situation.

I don't think guns are ever the answer. I think it only makes people more terrified than protected. I have heard of too many people killing others my mistake because they thought the person was an intruder. You practically live on the edge each day, waiting for something to happen. I can't live like that!

It seems every time an horrendous shooting occurs in a “gun free zone”, the anti-gun zealots seem to lead the charge for more anti-gun laws. Is that really the answer for preventing future gun crimes?
Why don’t we make sure the gun laws we already have on the books are enforced? The only people who will obey any gun laws are the law abiding gun owners who practically never commit gun crimes. It’s the criminals who pull the triggers by committing crimes with firearms, not the members of the NRA or other law-abiding, patriotic gun groups, who will not obey the law. None of these massacres have been committed by members of any of these gun organizations, but they are the ones who would bear the brunt of any future anti-gun laws that are proposed.

This is actually is very alarming. There have been so many news and issues about gun violence for the last decade. It is just leaving a scar in our youth. I pray and hope adults will be more responsible in educating the youth today regarding this issue. It is not something you just hand to a minor or to anyone. It is not a toy. I don't understand the idea of owning one and thinking of it as protection. It has always been used to hurt people, whether good or bad ones (when you own a gun, you think if using it to people). We have had the wrong perception on things which is why this type of problems arise. It is just sad.

I do not think that a gun is the answer, although I am sure in can be tempting for individuals who have experienced violence and fear. I think the best thing that an individual can do is to be aware of his or her surroundings and try to avoid situations that could be dangerous. They should also know physical ways in which to protect themselves.

For self defense? For what? Are you at war? If it is gun is the answer. I don't agree that gun is the answer but on any occasion it is the answer. It is the answer to protect president and other high ranked people but for us it isn't. Have you never thought why defense department were established? I think that they are there to protect us. So let us trust them.
