Teenage extramarital affairs are prominent now, as teenagers are bolder and those predators are more desperate.

Teenage affairs are more in 2018 than it was in the 1950s. Cultural expectation and norms are gradually changing. The children of today are not well ingrained in the moral ways of their people. Moreover, with the advancement of technology, boys and girls have a broader platform of accessing pornographic and other sexual materials.

I believe it's more common now. Things have not been getting better.

I think teenage extramarital affairs are more common now than it was before. Times have changed, and children nowadays are more exposed to different things today than they were back then in the '50s.

I’d imagine extramarital affairs with younger girls/women are more prevalent now, but it wasn’t uncommon for girls that age to marry older men in the past.

I think that extramarital affairs are more common than they were in the 1950's because we are a lot more liberal now. Teen girls were, however, considered to be women already so I think the context was a bit different. Older men were not seen as predators in the way we would identify them today.

In my opinion, such sort of affairs have always been taking place, it's just that things are more prone to exposure today than they were in the day back. In the earlier days, affairs were clandestinely hidden underneath the closet compared to today's time when everything is coming out of it.

Cross-generational relationships have always existed. In the 1950's it might have been more acceptable as for many women, their only hope for future security was to snatch a man as soon as they could. Now, society frowns upon it because women have more opportunities to become financially independent.

Yes. It's more now than before. Ladies seem to have a liking for married men and vice versa more these days. I could never understand that.

I think people are more aware of extramarital affairs happening now because of the media, internet and general ease to convey information. I'm sure it occurred back then, it was just harder to find, easier to hide and pretend didn't exist. That's what makes it so interesting to learn of the past, because the stories are hidden its so much more fascinating.

I do believe that this is definitely more prominent in today's world, but there is no doubt in my mind that these things have been happening for decades.

Teenage extra marital affairs are something which are heard more often now a days. I think teenagers feel more attracted towards more mature people.

Yes, today any teenager you come across is either in a relationship or has just moved on from a relationship that did not work out. I believe this is partly to blame on the increasing decay of the societal morals and less strict parental guidance.

I agree that teenage extramarital affairs aren't necessarily more prevalent today, just more publicized due to social media.
