I would say that our experiences are what makes us stronger, not weaker. In every suffering there is a gift, we are who we are BECAUSE of these experiences. How we choose to see it makes all the difference.

I would tell her that not all men are like Alex. I would tell her that not all mothers are like hers. I would tell her that she is strong and she can be successful and choose a different path that includes a healthy partner and a healthy family. Stay strong and focus on what you know is right and you will be fine.

I would tell her how strong a woman of character she is and a person to be counted on whatever the circumstance.

I would commend her for her strength and for standing up for what she believes in.

To Natalie I would say that love is a great thing to desire, but it's easier to find subpar knockoffs of the genuine thing. And it's better to have never found love than to be deeply taken by a false love.

To Natalie's mother, Irma, I would say some times the greatest act of love is in a full rejection, for some can't learn unless they walk down road of hardships to learn for themselves. A man like Alex, can't change fully until he feels the full power, and in Alex's case, he needed to feel power of a family taken from him for a number of years.

To Alex, I would say everyone makes mistakes, but the greatest mistake of all is to never learn from those mistakes that have already made and continue to be made till the lesson has been learned.
