I think this book talks about a lot of issues teenagers could relate with, or at least should be aware of, such as alcoholism, and abuse. I think it would be appropriate for the ages 15+.

I think that young adults are the appropriate age range for this book, based on the themes of the story alone.

This book is suitable for the young adults above 18 years old. I think there are very few teenagers below 18 years old who can read and understand the story.

I also recommend the book for use in senior secondary education literature.

I would recommend this book to anyone 15 and older. I don't think kids in elementary and middle school should be reading about this, because they are not at a mature-enough level to handle some of the more adult content in the book.

In my opinion, because of the themes and ideas explored in this book I would probably say late teens.

I would recommend this book for ages of around 12 and up. This is around the time a person matures enough to be able to handle these horrible ideas and themes, and will be old enough to be able to understand and interpret what is happening and why. This is essential information that everyone should learn, so that they can use that knowledge to make correct life choices. Of course, I would not recommend this book to anyone under the age of 12, unless they are very mature and advanced for their age, because it can be horrifying to learn about such terrible things that occur in the world at such a young age. Children around that age should not have to be able to deal with those ideas and themes, since they are not able to completely understand the severity of it and it might be too overwhelming for them.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I think the book would be suitable for young readers, especially the those of the teenage years, because there is so much for them to glean from the book.

I would recommend this book to people of ages 16 and above. It's never too early to learn that the world isn't as rosy as young minds picture it to be. Natalie's story will also encourage young readers to be confident and take control of their lives.

I believe too it'll fit teenagers more. But what about younger children that go through the same thing? It could fit them too.

I think teenagers, young adults and adults would be a justifiable age recommendation for the novel. Nothing against children, but perhaps it's not necessary to expose them to certain themes and scenes at a young age, that they might not understand. An older age group leads to a better audience, understanding and connection with the book.
