Wow i am happy that i was not the only one that felt the same way about the front cover of this book. It was not really enticing at all. I would not have attempted reading this book if not for it description. The description was what caught my attention

The first thing that attracted me to this book was the book cover. I don't have any issues with the book cover

The cover seem to be quite jam-packed but it still fits the author's description of Duke.

Well, the cover illustration wasn't enticing and it would give a wrong impression of the novel. I don't hate nor do I like it either. I believe the author can do better.

for those of us who just suddenly saw a picture of a human swallowing sword for the first time, I was so curious to know what this book would be about. I also love tattoos even though I came from a home that dislike it soo much. For me i had no issues with the front cover page it infact caught my attention.

I disagree. The book's cover depicts the storyline very well.

I almost bypassed reading the book once I saw the cover. This book's drug-related content turned me off. I wish the author didn't go into too much detail. It was extremely disturbing, in my opinion.

Interesting observation. Honestly, I felt the same way when I came across the front cover page of this book. The front cover page did not suggest to me such an interesting story as contained in this book. Maybe the author should think of a way to review it.

I believe the cover image effectively captures the shocking nature of Duke's character in the story. While it may not be the central theme of the book, the cover accurately portrays Duke's status as an unusual and ostracized individual, much like Gary. Duke's unconventional and outcast nature is conveyed through the design. Personally, I cannot say if the cover alone would have deterred me from exploring the book, as I usually read the book's description beforehand. Nevertheless, having read the book, I believe the cover aligns well with its content and themes.

I found the book cover intriguing, as the art of sword swallowing was entirely new to me.

Also, I think it's appropriate. One look at the cover, and I knew I shouldn't expect the content to be rosy. I was ready for the toughness and rowdiness, and the book cover aptly reflected the essence of the title and the contents within.

Although the cover did not entice me to read the book, it piqued my interest. I asked, "What's this?" and looked at the book's reviews. After that, I read the book and am happy that I did! It opened up a new world that I never knew could be interesting--circus performers. Now the cover makes sense! It goes to show that every life has a story. I enjoyed Gary Robinson's storytelling. I hope he writes more. :D
