The eyes is said to be the pathway to the soul. Reincarnation mean the soul returned again in another body. So I think it's important that the eyes are the same.

The eye changing were confusing at first but later on helped with the distinction or reality and trances. I personally feel that eye change was good.

I have heard many songs in which it is stated "It was your eyes that I know for sure" and I've read books where they recognize the person's eyes. In my opinion, the eyes should stay the same throughout your many lives. However, for the book, when her eyes changed, you knew that she was going into another one of her trances.
