I feel like she will, especially with how she ended the book. It implied that she had more to learn and could do more than just stop time from repeating itself when it came to her past lives. At the same time, the ending confused me as well, it implied that she was seeing a gateway to an entirely new world which makes me confused as to the fact of whether she was actually reincarnated into these lives or just being haunted by the past in efforts to save a piece of art.

The ending is properly captured. I do not see Belle Ami writing a series on this book. The lovebirds are given a mature ending. For instance, Alex end up with Angela.

That's possible, I won't rule out that. But even if the next instalment of the book isn't produced. I think this would serve as a complete book.

she may actually write more about them or even make a movie out of it but I guess I look forward to reading about them if she eventually does.

Considering The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci is a series, it might be worth checking out, I would like to read it and see how the story goes on.

I definitely think there will be another one. With Alex and Angela being married partners with a child. They will search for more lost art and she will get new visions to help then find it. Because basically her visions are not isolated to their past lives, she os obviously being shown as a medium of some kind. There will be at least one more installment of this I think.

It did seem like the author purposely left it open ended. I think it is possible. I did enjoy the book and would look forward to a sequel.

bookowlie wrote: 10 Jun 2018, 07:39 Based on the Amazon description, it is the first book in the Out of Time thriller series. Also, there is a scene at the end that seems like it will lead to a new investigation.
Yes, Amazon does state that it is a part of a series called Out of Time, but it does not specify a continuance if Angela and Alex’s story. She may introduce new characters in new situations. I think either could be the case.

SweetMelissaV2131 wrote: 09 Jun 2018, 12:44 This is the first book I've read by Belle Ami so I am not familiar with her style or other books but I can't help but wonder if she plans on turning this book into the first book of a series. What are your thoughts?

I think with the way she ended this book that it might be possible. I tend to get attached to the characters in books and movies and am always wanting more stories to develop surrounding them.

I just thought I would throw this thought out there and see what everyone else thought about the idea.
Hi SweetMelissaV2131 -

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Belle Ami does intend to turn "The Girl Who Knew Da Vinci" as the first novel of a book series.

Compared to Fioretta Gorini and Giuliano de Medici, I felt that the author did not pay enough attention to Alex Renatus and Alex Caine. Therefore, I would love to see better character development for the present-day characters; and I believe that I would really enjoy the series if Leonardo Da Vinci plays a bigger role in future books.

Towards the end of the book I got the feeling that the author had future stories in mind. It would be interesting to see another similar story from this author with the supernatural themes but it may be without the reincarnation aspect

Yes. I am sure she will write more books with these characters. The ending left it open for them to be working together. Also the first book received good reviews, so I would think she would write a sequel.

The book ended on a cliffhanger in a way so I hope she does continue their story. I see the series continuing by Angela and Alex solving more mysteries concerning lost art or artifacts. It is definitely an expandable idea.
Give me the courage to get through this week...or at least a big bar of chocolate :D
