I love the illustrations as they were very basic and straight to the point, perfect for young kids growing their cognitive functions.

I particularly liked how simple they all were. A child will instantly identify and relate to the illustrations. Maybe as Toni grows older, the illustrations will as well.

I loved the cover. I thought it accurately portrayed the book, and was interesting enough to catch the eyes of a child. The illustrations, I felt, also helped children relate more to the story. Very well done.

I think the cover is average. It's not that bad. It can encourage children to have confidence in reading.

bookowlie wrote: 01 Jul 2018, 08:38 I loved the illustrations as it would be easy for a young child to figure out what Toni was doing in each picture. That's so important when a child is learning to read. As Miriam mentioned, even a baby or toddler could figure each action out. This way kids can get interested in books even before they are old enough to have the skills to read.
Illustrations are definitely important for the kids as they read. The illustrations help the kids feel like reading isn't a chore. The pictures help the children better visualize what Toni is up to.

I think that the illustrations were cute and would have been easy for a young child to replicate themselves if they wanted to be creative

I really liked the cover, and I think that illustrations do have an effect on children's behavior because they enhance their creativity and confidence. I, as a child, also used to prefer illustrated and colorful books.

The illustrations are good enough for children. It is well-colored and that is what matters when it comes to children. The more colorful it is, the better.
