Hopefully young readers of Toni the Superhero will feel as you do. He seems to be an excellent role model. I'm sure there are more subtle lessons Base can provide.

I do hope there will be some clarification on this matter. It really says a lot that there is a whole discussion question about whether or not Toni is a superhero and how superhero is meant to be defined in terms of this book.

Maybe because I think the author will take into consideration the thoughts and opinions of all others, prior to publishing the next installment(s).
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) :reading-7:

I'm willing to be once again the odd one out, but I'm also thinking this book poses some problems in terms of the author's claim it is supposed to help kids learn to read. Please hear me out a little. I've read books on child psychology and I've worked with kids at various ages. If this book targets children between 2 and 6 years old, then we have this problem. Ordinary kids as young as 2 or 3 will not be able to learn to read by using this book and older kids of 5 or 6 will find it much too boring to keep repeating these sentences. I also have a problem with the font used for the letters in the sentences. For example, the letters should have been bigger if teaching kids to recognize the letters had been the case here. Besides, children learn better if there is some organization in their books based on specific criteria. In this case, Toni's activities seem to have been picked out of a hat and randomly put in the book. There is also one structure (Toni likes to rescue animals.) that sharply cuts all the other one-verb repetitive structures. I don't know about the next installments in the series, but I hope I'll see some improvement in the future.

I think if Toni continues to be a superhero in the following books, it would seriously limit the potential of the series. Superheroes fall into such a narrow niche when you look at the big picture and often only interest certain children.

superheroes will remain superheroes. So does Toni he will stick to his consume because that is his path. About the repetitions, I think I should be maintained because the book s exclusively for children.

I think there are all sorts of things the author can do in this format. A trip to the zoo could include things such as "Polar bears are white." Zebras have white and black stripes. The thing to remember is that the author is writing a series of picture books for preschoolers. Three-year-olds don't need a plot while they're learning to read. They won't be called on to write an essay about the subtext or the deeper meaning of the relationship between characters. They need simple sentences with some repetition of words so they can learn to sound out new words and gain confidence by recognizing others. Toni the Superhero fits that bill.

I love that this book is going to be a part of a series. I see Toni becoming a beloved character for children. I would be interested in seeing where the author takes the powers aspect of Toni. What will he be able to do? What will he do with the powers?

Toni the superhero is clearly a child's novel. I would not entertain the idea of it having a series. Children are too young for book series.

There is no need for a book series. This book in itself is just complete.

Book series is only necessary where there is on the face value an incomplete theme discussion. I think this book was a complete book.

I hope the following books will have more plot and will be expanded to include older age groups as I find the concept very interesting.

I think that the following books should expand on the plot and also include more age categories. This is because the premise is quite good and has a lot of potential.
