This is an interesting question. Maybe if dislikes were put in a positive way. Like, something's disliked but there's something positive about that thing so it doesn't seem like a total negative. Definitely something to think about here.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Of course yes. but because it is a positive book I guess the author refrained from adding any dislike because it could act as a distractor.

I would have liked to see some dislikes. I feel like, to really understand someone’s personality, you need the whole lot- likes, dislikes, loves and hates. It would definitely help me as a reader to understand him a bit more.

I was thinking about this too! I think keeping it with "likes" was supposed to give it more of a positive feel. But I think that adding "dislikes" would've given us a better idea of who Toni is and made it more intriguing.

I totally agree with you. Toni the Superhero is a real sunny and charming book. Using Toni dislikes this or that would in my opinion detract from the nook or spoil the flow. I loved the flow of Toni loves to draw, Toni likes to play etc. You can almost sing along to it, please let's leave dislikes for now.

Dislikes may complete Toni's character but they must be carefully chosen to satisfy the parents reading the book to their kids.

Since the story seems complete without it, why complicate things for young readers? Besides, it might encourage younger children to decide to dislike something purely because Toni did.

Very interesting idea. I do agree, adding Toni’s dislikes would only draw more attention to who he is as a person and his personality. Very interesting point. I’d like to see that.

As a simple example, the review of a book doesn't complete without writing it's merits and demerits. Likewise the story has not seem to be attractive without including both the likes and dislikes of Toni.

I was disappointed by the omission. Yes, Toni is good but no one is perfect. He must have some flaws.

That was one area which the author missed the most. He painted Toni as a perfect child which should not be the case. Yes we all have our flaws and so does children.

That would be helpful. In real life if you don't know someone's dislikes or likes then you really don't know them. I think the same goes for reading a book.

I found it quite intriguing that Toni's dislikes are not mentioned. No child is perfect and he surely has his weaknesses. That ought to be mentioned.

It could develop his charcter, add more to the plot and overall improve the story.

It would be tricky to find a universal dislike. Children in the target age group are prone to emulate their role models and may shy away from activities they initially liked simply because Toni dislikes them.
