I think the diversity in this book is excellent and it's very important that children of all ethnicities are able to see themselves reflected in the media we consume, and receive the message that they can be a hero just as much as the white people who typically dominate stories. As for the range of friendships portrayed across different ethnicities, it's a great message to be giving children, demonstrating that nobody needs to be segregated due to the colour of their skin
