I agree. Every kid is a superhero at home, with matured upbringing, plus some costume and pretend.
About the origin of Toni's superpowers, a two year old kid will only be too happy to watch the colourful illustrations in the book and not bother where he learnt all that from.

Toni the Superhero is a short book that's meant for chidren especially from 3-7 years.
Therefore stating the origin of his powers is not necessary. I think you should expect such if it is a novel.

That's is it. The purpose of Toni the Superhero is not emphasize the supernature of Toni but see him as ordinary as other children.
And agree that the book actually focus on these aspect of his personality.

Well, I hope that the origin of Toni's superpowers will not be listed solely as eating vegetables. However, apart from his cape and suit and one flying photograph, Toni hasn't even shown his superpowers yet. I am hoping to see something along those lines in the next books.
I too expect more as the author promises in later books.
But I don't think it might change from this personality of helping people around him rather than flying in the sky to catch villain, like Superman and Batman.

Reading is a super power indeed . But this must be balanced with other activities such as house chores.Dael Reader wrote: ↑24 Jul 2018, 20:23 Isn't every kid a superhero at heart? It doesn't matter whether or not he has supernatural powers. He likes to read! That's the only real superpower you need!
I think this one thing that make this book fit for children.

There is nothing more interesring than finding out the source of a power.
However, I think adding such detail would have called for more additional pages, sentences and illustrations.
This would have been a different story entirely.
