Good work on finishing the audiobook!
Nice! Usually, for read-a-long, it's however long it takes for all of us to read the book. Where are you now?

Yes, I started it yesterday, but I just read a couple of chapters. I hope to read more today. What about you?

What do you think of it so far? I liked it much better than the second book.
I dislike Bill immensely and hope he will get his just deserves.
I like that each of the diviners is from a different ethnic background, and that the author touches themes of Racism, homophobia, and antisemitism.

Wow, you're fast! We had a pretty hectic weekend, but I got through a couple of chapters so far and I'm liking it better than the second one, too.
The opening scene with the ghost coming into the asylum was a great way to start the book! It was both creepy and intriguing. We'll be going vacation tomorrow, so I plan on reading quite a bit on the plane ride, so I'm hoping to have more to add soon!

You haven't? It is a trilogy and one has to read it in order to understand what is going on. The other books explained about Bill. I believe he used to be a diviner as well and misused his powers. He does leaching energy from issayah.KDJ wrote: ↑05 Aug 2019, 21:25 I haven't read the other two books. I finished Connor Lynn chapter. Poor Ms. Headley...ugh!! So far my favorite is Mable. Adalaid seems like her part will be cool. I tend to like witches, though. So far this book is awesone. . There is a lot more angsty romance than I was expecting. I dislike Dr. Simpson and Bill. Bill seems selfish. Does Bill also have powers? I Don't understand how he can drain the energy from issayah. Seems like he is just leaching energy, but that could be a power.
We discussed the other two books on this forum, so you can read them if you don't mind spoilers.

That was ridiculous to learn. Bill's such a terrible character. Poor Isaiah
