I have finished the main book and am reading the short story.

There's still something we don't know about Toby. I'd bet on it.

Wow, a lot happened! I just love this world so much.
Did you see the map? (I'm a sucker for maps in books.) It's so pretty!
I love the Night Haunts. And Tybalt. And Quentin.

And I adore when we get The Luigaed.

I'm just going to plan on starting the next book. That way, hopefully I'll keep up a little better.

I skipped the short story (I dislike stories).

I love the Night Haunts, Tybalt, and Quentin too!!! And the Luigaed of course!!! I like that with each story new info comes to light. It makes things interesting and unpredictable.

I will finish my current book and then start the next book. :)

@Gravy have you finished The Brightest Fell? I just finished it.

Spoilers:

I just finished it and liked it, although there were some bits that annoyed me: the idea of evil people 'suddenly turning good', the "justification" of their acts, no Tybalt in the story, the facts that the criminals were not punished to name a few.

I hated that Toby was forced into things by her mother, and the collateral the mother held. I disliked August and Amandine! August is a brat! I felt that Simon didn't get punished enough and was irritated that Amandine wasn't punished at all. It was odd that Simon liked pixies, but his daughter referred to them as vermin. :eusa-think:

I liked that that several loose ends from previous books were tied and enjoyed the story overall, so I rated it 3/4 stars.

I am ready for book #12, Night and Silence whenever you are. :)

I've finished the main book and am reading the short story. I don't have much of an opinion at the moment. It was honestly a little bit hard to read (due to the trauma).

I'm actually thinking that Simon's situation was a bit funny. I still want to puzzle those thoughts out a bit more.

This short story is interesting. Tamed lightning gets its Countess back. :)

I'll start the next one as soon as I've finished the short story. :tiphat:

Just to catch you up, we have basically everyone from Tamed Lightning (including January, thanks to some help from the Night Haunts) back among the living. Just in case it comes up again later in the series. :tiphat:

I am about to finish chapter three. It is a little irritating that Gillian, Toby's daughter, was kidnapped again. Really? Has the author run out of ideas?? Still, she sure knows how to write. arkan sonney are cute. I love the author's imagination!

I hope Tybalt will come back to his senses soon. I miss having him around.

OMG. I just finished chapter 18.

Janet! There's so much here, and (thankfully, cause I need the distraction right now), I can't stop reading.

Next post will be spoilery.
