I am not sure I would call Agent Silver an anti-hero in the sense that he lacks idealism, courage, or morality. I think he has been a product of mind control in some fashion.

I think Sliver is all of us, just living life as we know it until something comes up that makes us question everything we have believed and lived for. Definitely not the conventional hero, but maybe someone whos waking up to something more.

We cannot actually decide that. But what I see is as a henchman, he has been doing his job. We don't know where was his conscience by then

I wouldn't say he is an anti-hero but he is more like a soldier following orders.

I picture him as more of a hero than an anti hero. It is a problem of morality.

I will not treat him as an anti-hero simply because he did what he did. He had reasons for wanting to kill the CEO. I will comment much on this after reading a considerable portion of the book.

I, somehow, don't believe he was being the anti-hero. He was just doing what he had to do. I understand that.

What I noticed is that, he's not a perfect hero but desperately trying to be one. He only does what's best according to his capabilities and circumstances weren't really on his side.

I think he is justified because he was acting on orders and he didn't have the ability to decipher what is right or wrong. When he starts to get his memory back you can see he started having mixed feelings.

I agree! Shades of Silver's character appears in all of us.

I think he was just doing his duties to the best of his abilitis. Though I would rather see him as a flawed hero.

According to Google, an anti-hero is "a central character in a story, movie, or drama who lacks conventional heroic attributes." I would say that the conventional heroic attributes are a sense of right and wrong, courage, and other things like that. Agent Sliver was an assassin, which means that his sense of right and wrong were skewed, but he did stand up to his employer which took courage. He basically was a villain, but because he turned himself around that does make him an anti-hero. I wouldn't have thought of that without this thread, so thanks for bringing it up.
