I loved the introduction of Rex. It was a fresh addition to the story, and his character kept me guessing. I was glad to see that he didn't end up to be a villian in the end. Nobody's story is every written for them. Be your own person; whether that person is a robot!

The character of Rex was definitely an admirable one. It developed well to a gallant climax at the end of the story where, instead of following his regular programming, he exercises his free will and chooses to save his friend. That was very refreshing!

This is a great twist. It also shows what may happen in the future. The story would have been different if Rex made a different decision. However all these are just if's .

I love it when a character who has been really in the frames and following all the expectation does something that you wouldn't expect of them. If it works well in a story depends on how well is such a "change of heart" justified or foreshadowed. In Rex's case, this was made possible by granting a free will. Managing to do it unpredictable way but still have it as a logical step is one of the hardest things to do in story telling in my opinion.

It still sounds like a mystery how Rex was able to work against his programming and instead chose to help Agent Silver. However, it remains true that that indeed he became a hero.

This is a nice opinion too. I had not viewed this as something that was unexpected. Indeed, sometimes it very easy to overlook sometimes such as this.

Rex was a true hero for me as he was the only thing that made this book slightly bearable. If he could have only found a way to destroy those tortuous Newspaper Articles he would have become a Superhero!

I agree that Rex was a hero, which surprised me. I totally thought he was going to end up trying to kill Sliver, and they'd have a huge crazy fight, but it was endearing. I hope he ended up with the Shredders, they were a lot of fun too. Would love to read more about them and Rex's adventures :)

I think Rex was a brilliant character! He was funny and he definitely became a hero by the end in my eyes. I wish Sliver had met him sooner!

Rex was a wonderful addition to the story. He added humor and action. The dialog between Rex, Silver and Franklin in chapter 15 is hilarious. I loved how it played out at the end of the story with Rex. I found it to be interesting and unexpected.

I thought that Rex sure had some handy abilities to plug into computers and databases. I almost held my breath several times wondering if his programming would make him turn against Sliver.
