Syria has always been a place I really wanted to know more about. Hopefully this book will do justice to the readers through this story. Thanks for the amazing review.

I absolutely love your appeal to the sense of humanity in all of us and couldn't agree with you more that we are desensitized to the news and the much of the world around us. I haven't had the opportunity to read of any accounts of the Syrian conflict/war, so this seems like it would be an enlightening read. I wish there was an English version of this book (I've used my browser to translate your review to English)! I am appalled at the thought of organ trafficking during armed conflicts, this is so inhumane. I can absolutely see why and how the human mind would need to dissociate from these traumatic moments. I had not previously thought of how war can have inequitable effect on women and even children. Your description is poignant and I'm only sad that I am not fluent enough in Spanish to read this book. Thank you for sharing this review with us!

It's so kind of you to take the time to translate my review; I really appreciate it. :tiphat: There's not much of an audience usually for my reviews in Spanish. I didn't know a lot about this conflict either, but I'm sure there's a good documentary in English out there to learn more.

Maria, I kind of figured the audience would be more limited, it's a shame because you have such well-written reviews. Now that I know I can just have my browser translate these reviews, I'll be sure to stop by, read, and give you some support! Even though I can't necessarily read the books, I feel like reading well-written reviews helps me think and write better :D Until next time...
