Sucker for romance as I am, I loved Catrin and Marcellus and their passionate love.

I love Catrin and Marcellus. Their love for each other was compelling. They were my favourite characters.

Passionate? Weren't they still doubting their allegiance to each other up to the very end of the book? I'm just not convinced of the whole star crossed lovers thing.

I honestly disliked every character except Catrin and Marcellus (though he did irritate me at some point) but I especially disliked Catrin's mom. Its hard enough being a woman in that era without having other women specifially your mother making it harder.

Why would she suddenly believe Agrona over her own daughter when she never trusted Agrona in the first place? When she was spying on Catrin and Marcellus, wouldn't she have been aware that Catrin was warming up to Marcellus before she was given the Apollo amulet?
I was also confused by this sudden turn in Rhiannon's attitude. I could have understood her favoring the opinions of the older two daughters over Catrin's, but her suspicion of Agrona seemed to inexplicably wane during the course of the story.

I was very fond of Catrin and Marcellus, however, I thought that Agrona/Rhan was one of the most well-developed characters, even though I did not like her.

It's hard to point to any one character in this book. Each character was so beautiful, to be honest. The characterisation by this author was brilliant!

Catrin and Marcellus for the obvious reasons.. they are the main characters, and we see them fall in love with each other.

What I read of the sample the characters all seemed well rounded.

You and me both. Rhiannon drove me nuts, especially because she had flaunted the very rules she tried to enforce with her daughter. Also her insistence on repeatedly listening to every person in the wrong over and over was frustrating. As much as she claimed to love her daughter, she listened to everyone but her at almost every instance.

I strongly declare catrin and Marcellus as the main characters and for that matter the backbone of the play but catrin's mother must be declare as a super inferior heroin for her acts towards catrin. However, we all see catrin and Marcellus fall in love for each other...it's so fantastic.

I didn’t really connect with any of the characters. But I liked how straightforward Mor was.

Catrin is definitely my favorite and I really don't like Angora/Rhan since she's so creepy.

I found Rhiannon frustrating but human in her inconsistencies. She's someone who seems able to ignore what is right in front of her because she has her eyes on something else, perhaps maintaining her own power.

As far as personality wise I like Catrin and Marcellus the most. With that being said I think all the characters in this story were great and well developed, just some of them do not have the greatest personalities or redeeming traits that Catrin and Marcellus have. Although they may not be the most favorable I believe the story would not be the same with out these characters and I appreciate the impact they have on this story.
