Which scene was your favorite?

I loved when Catrin and Bellinus first start to like each other, sleeping in the same bed at the beginning of the novel.

I liked the axe fight between Cynwrig and Marcellus. I think I could identify with Marcellus about being in a situation where you do not understand the language and have to depend on facial expressions and hand signals to figure out what is happening!

I have not read the entire book and so I may comment well on this topic. However, I am sure that Catrin's first discovery of her powers would be an amazing scene for sure.

My favorite part was at the beginning of the book when Catrin was still trying to hide her newfound abilities with the raven, and it flies right in and lands at her feet giving her away to the entire assembly. It begins the unraveling of secrets of her family history and the curse of Rhan that was placed on her father the king.

This was one of my favorites, too. The imagery of it actually had me laughing out loud--just thinking about this fish out of water Roman getting drunk and being challenged by a bunch of Celtic warriors. I think it was the most humorous scene of the book.

I have a hard time answering this question because I loved so many. I do believe my favorite is when Catrin finds out what happened between her and Marrock. This answered a lot of questions for me and my understanding of the events was better. This moment brought the story together for me.

I really liked the scene near the beginning of the book when Marcellus gets left with the Celtic warriors. I love how he gets drunk and starts competing with them. It was ruined for me by the forced scene where he ends up in bed with Catrin. No one wants to be that close to a virtual stranger who is covered in their own vomit...

This would also be my favorite scene although I don't think it was anything special. I think the love scenes were the better written ones.
