Which do you prefer - children's books or middle grade books?

I was just thinking which of these two, that can overlap sometimes, I prefer to read. For me, I believe I enjoy middle grade books more. There's so much more to these books than children's sometimes and they tend to dig a bit deeper into the topics they explore. Also, I love how quick and fast-paced they can be.

What about you? Which one do you prefer?

Middle grade.

Though there are a few children's picture books that I would love to have, mainly because I love the authors and they often have wonderful messages, often about inclusivity. ❤❤❤

I love both, but only read kids' books for review purposes.

I agree there some children's picture books that have a great message and can be more powerful for young ones than a middle grade book.

That makes sense. Both definitely have their benefits and enjoyment features.

I prefer middle school books because they have more meat to them. The characters are fun, and there is usually a more serious message.

Yes, I agree with that. With middle grade books, you get to know and spend more time with the characters, which leads to caring about them more.

Currently I prefer children's books as I read daily to my grand daughter. Being four and a lover of all stories, I find that there are many children's books that she is able to relate too.
