I think the overall concept that if you keep doing the same thing over and expect your life and things to change, then you are wrong, is very important. People get stuck in a rut and don't like to change and then they can't understand why their lives don't change for the better. I also believe that the idea and principle of focus are extremely important and essential for success. These are important concepts that the book teaches very well.

The biggest message I took from this book is, I am responsible for how my life turns out. No one else. I can't blame others for it.

Be accountable for my actions and admit my mistakes. However, the most overwhelming thought I got from reading this book is that I do not hold other people accountable. I kept thinking; I do that for my children, husband, and co-workers. I'm enabling them, by allowing them to use the "but" word.

Stop complaining about what you don't have and be grateful for what you do have is the best advice in the book. Having a grateful heart makes all the difference in life. People who are grateful / thankful are always more successful than people with a negative outlook on life.

In my opinion, the best advice is probably that you should not measure your version of success to others. You have to do what is best for you.
