Is this book really offensive?

Sugarcoating, in my opinion just destroys the books relatability. I'm glad that the author is so blunt with their work.

Agree, sometimes sugarcoating can make you feel like the author doesn't really know what hes talking about and you get that feeling that they haven't experience as much hardship as you. But in this book the author is so honest that you can relate and believe in his tales and life experiences.

I didn't find it offensive at all. In fact, I appreciated the author's realism and directness. I think that inspiration is only one piece of self-help, another is looking at your situation as it is and moving forward from there without sugar-coating anything.

I didn't find anything offensive in this book. I really liked this overall message that you can only be responsible for your own actions and reactions. Stop trying to be responsible for everyone else and you will lead a less stressful, more happy life.

I didn't feel that anything was offensive or too much. I think the author makes some good points about being responsible for yourself and your actions. Ultimately, your own issue starts with what you are doing, whether it's right or wrong.

Of course the book's offensive nature is to provoke the readers yo get up and work hard. One aspect that stood out for me was the reference to insanity as the culture of doing something the same way over and over again.

I personally did not find it offensive. I can understand that many would become offended that author points out that all their problems are their own fault, no one generally like to be told that.

I was not offended by the book. It did seem like the author was setting up a psychological ploy. He warns us that we might be offended by some of the things he says. But, IF you are offended, then that just proves that you need this book! You are focusing on the negative! It was an excellent exercise to get the reader started on getting their thoughts on the right track.

No, I was never offended. The author was blunt, but that is needed for self exploration and fixing. We get coddled every day to be within complacency, but this bluntness is a startling jump in the right direction.

I did not find the book offensive. His blunt comments are a reflection of the type of book it is - a no-nonsense, all holds barred narrative. I think that is what I liked the most about the book.

I think that saying the book would offend some people was an exaggeration. Having read it, I did not find anything in it that would offend anyone. The only thing it would do is make one face reality. If anyone finds that offensive then they have a problem.
