Who did you originally suspect was the masked killer? Did your prediction change at all as the story progressed?

When I was reading the sample available on the amazon, I had a guess in my mind that in this type of detective stories mostly authors keep on giving the twists as the story proceeds, that's why I did not try to guess that who will be the killer.

I thought it was William Lance to begin with, and kept that belief until the real murderer was revealed. He has money-he could have flown up to NY whenever he wanted from Florida.

I usually don't guess the end. What I expext in this sort of books is an unexpected twist.

This happened to me as well, but as the story progressed I stopped trying to guess who it was.

I have not yet thought of this so far although I am still reading the book. This is making want to read the book the more.

I wasn't sure who the killer was, the twist really made it worth reading to the end.

Since modern mystery books often don't give readers all of the information they need until the very end, I've stopped trying to deduce who the killer is while reading.

I would also enjoy such a scenario when it becomes hard to predict who a certain villain is. It makes the book more captivating as one cannot put it down for as long as the author continues with the narration in an interesting way.

I try to stop myself from guessing characters identities. It can ruin a story for you, just like skipping ahead can. I find when I guess parts of books, my ideas can sometimes be more interesting than how the story is written. I try to enjoy books as much as possible.

I felt the same too. I agree with your point.

Unfortunately, I'm not good at guessing in this type of novels. Anyway, I somehow believed it was a terrible gang from the bar.

For some time I thought it was Tim but later found I was wrong. The suspense in the revelation of the real murder was enthralling.

My mind usually goes on overdrive with such books. I had a lot of guesses and these changed as I read more of the book. At first, I suspected Robert Simpson because he was Deborah's boyfriend and because I just didn't like him. But then Patty Saunders, Deborah's best friend, came into the picture. When her story checked out, I was convinced Phil Smith was my guy. But then Rachelle started with her cryptic tweets. Towards the end, when I started suspecting even Detective Powers, I knew I was way in over my head :lol2:

Needless to say, I was surprised to learn the killer's true identity.
