Re: 2016 Reading Challenge

Post by bumblebea0830 »

I generally read one book every week. Of course that depends on how much spare time I can make and how long the book is. I tend to get so involved in the book I'm reading it's hard to put it down until I've finished it. That's not always a possibility as much as I'd like it to be. :D I'm looking forward to setting a new goal for myself to see if I can make more time for reading this year and maybe be able to read two books a week :)

I usually read three books at a time, one in each format: Paperback, ebook, and audiobook - I manage to read quite a few. However I already messed up my stats for this year, so I'm bumping up my goal to fix the mistake.

My goal is 100. I'm curious to see how easy or difficult I find this. I read a lot but I don't usually keep count.

Still thinking about this. I don't even know what's reasonable for me. But I have mad respect and admiration for anyone who sets a goal of 80+ books in a year. I can't even imagine. Well, I suppose if I set a goal, it will be good for motivation anyway.

My challenge is just to start reading back up again. Before I had my daughter ( this past September), I read more than two books every month. Well, ever since having her I realized just how much of a luxury reading is now. It's hard to fit that in but I am going to read after she goes to bed every night. I miss it. Reading 25 books is going to be difficult because of that but I'm going to try.

I read 100 books in 2015, but I'm setting a goal of just 50 books this year!

I think I shall pick a new and expansive popular series and shoot for reading it beginning to end. I haven't done all the Alex Cross or Women's Murder Club and Patterson is always a quick read...maybe I'll start there. As for a number, 50 is my average now that I have kids so maybe I'll shoot for 100 again.

You don't need to count. You can use the feature on this site. 8)

I usually make a reading goal related to a subject not a number of books. I pick something I feel like I want to learn more about and make sure to read about it that year.

I would like to read at least 50 books for the year. I am going to try to surpass this goal but if I make it to 50 I will be happy.
