My goal is to read 42 books this year. This will be double my books from last year.

I would say one book a month is doable for me. I have exams to prep for throughout the year and I am a bit of a slow reader. If I can ever get around to learning how to speed read effectively, I can probably up the ante to two books a month.

Very cool idea. Setting goals always helps me to keep my reading organized!

I try my best to read 3/4 books a month depending on my schedule that month and lengths of the books.

Hi all,

I am also aiming to read 100 books this year. In 2014 I read 99, but last year fell about 30 short due to circumstances beyond my control.

This is the year!!!!! I hope we all make it.

I have SOOOOOO many books on my TBR list! I'd like to read them all in a years time but I'd have to be able to read 500 words a second! LOL
I actually started a journal to keep track of my TBR list and it's something, like, 25 pages long already.. So, yeah.
Realistically, I'd like to read at least 15 books this year.

I hope to read 50 books total, but I also want to explore some different genres to refresh myself. I've been on a dystopian/mystery binge so I'm thinking of reading at least 2 historical novels, 2 romance novels, 2 sci fi novels, and 2 fantasy novels. Well, that's the plan anyway... :eusa-think:

I'm coming out of a reading slump, so my goals are a little lower than most it would seem.

I love reading and read very fast. On a free weekend I can read three or four books. I am trying to write/finish my book this year like others I have read here. Not sure where to set my goal. 50?

I set a goal for 15 last year and ended up reading 32. Think I'll try for 45 in 2016

Well I guess the challenge for this year will be keeping track of how many books I read and next year it'll be to read even more!

I need to get back into reading properly again so my goal is to read 20 books. It's probably not as intense as it could be, but I like exceeding goals :D

Last year I set a reading goal of 50 books. I had a tough year with a lot of change, and only managed to read 47. I set the same 50 book goal for 2016. Given that I've already read 12 books in the first few weeks of the year, I anticipate shattering that goal and getting into some lengthier books (my continued conquest of Game of Thrones). I recognized that reading is truly something I enjoy, and all of the filler (TV, Sudoku, games on my phone) really doesn't leave me feeling productive. I now allow myself more time to read, and I'm enjoying every minute of it!

My goal this year is to read 24 books. This would put me at two books a month. Since I am now part of a local book club which reads one book each month, I figure this will be easily doable for me. I'm excited to read more and reach my goal in 2016!
