Last year, even with a newborn, I was able to read 74 books!!!! So I am thinking that this year I am going to up it to 100!! :D

I would have to say yes! Although, there are people who would disagree, but to each their own. I try to read more books than I listen to, but if an individual's schedule doesn't allow for that at least they are absorbing literature one way than not at all!

I feel that listening not only can take just as much time as reading a regular book but it also helps get a different perspective. Besides, a reader is just as capable of zoning out while reading as listening to a book :p

My goal for this year is 150 fiction books that are 250 pages or more. I read a lot of Kindle Singles, short stories, and flash fiction as I look for things that interest my students. I won't count that type of novel in my challenge count. Non-fiction books of 100 pages and less can be challenging due to researched content, so I will count them.

I'm totally with JKreviews and Kattee. I wish I could set a goal of 100 and have it be reasonable. However, I have read an exceptionally small amount of books in the last couple of years. My goal this year will be 12-24 books by 2018.

Hmmm. Seeing as last year I decided to set my goal at 50 books, and I was a mere one book short, I think that I'll challenge myself to actually reach the goal of 50 books in one year. Although, I am also going to challenge myself to make these 50 books brand new. Last year, I let a few re-reads slide in and count towards my goal. But this year there is no way I am going to count those!

Well, the list of books I put together to read has 26 books. However, I tend to read more books than I intend to read every year. This year I think I am going to try for fifty.

I want to read at least one per month and have already read about five this month so I think I'm going to go with 25 as I have homework and such that I need to account for.

Reading is not a challenge for me.. its actually my passion. I would think of reading the best books rather than thinking of reading more books. So the best task of this year is reading the best books and in search of the best one.

I have been so busy trying to set up writing goals that reading never occurred to me. But this website inspired me. So I'm going to set my reading goals to be at least 50 this year. Have always loved reading ...so let's see.
