For the March Irish book, I recommend "Brooklyn" by Colm Toibin! It is simply fantastic and parts of it are set in Ireland.

January:
The theme of January's challenge is 'New', so pick up something by a debut author, or just one that's new-to-you.

I read Six of Crows by Leigh Bordago. This was a new author for me and the duology was wonderful. I highly recommend.

February:
February's theme is 'Love', but with a twist. Read something that focuses on any type of non-romantic love.

I'm currently in the middle of the Chronicles of Nick series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Nick turns evil when his mother is killed. His mother is the one person who has always been there for him and because he loves her so much, her death destroys him. In the series, a future version of Nick goes back in time to save him from his evil fate.

March:
Read any book that is set (even partially) in Ireland.

Not sure on this one yet

Bonus #1:
With Chinese New Year in February, let's give it an honorable mention. Read any book that somehow relates to one of the animals of it's zodiac (list provided at the bottom.)

Bonus #2:
With February being the shortest month of the year, this bonus challenge is to read something under 100 pages.

I reviewed Diary of a Snoopy Cat. One of the secondary characters is a dog who is trying to find his owner's will. This covers both Bonus challenges as it was also a short read.

What fun! I'm a fan of 'themes' to pick my books!

January: The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn. Possibly a long-time author but his debut novel.
February: Coming Clean by Kimberly Rae Miller. A daughter of horders and what she went through due to her love of her parents.

No love from my list yet for March or either of the bonuses, we'll see what I can fit in! Thanks for this topic!

Okay I'm a little late to the party here but I've gotten one week left for the March challenge! I think I will re-read Frank McCourt's Angela's Ashes, set in Limerick, Ireland for the most part. It's a wonderful memoir about his childhood growing up poor in part by his father's alcoholism. McCourt doesn't use ANY quotations in his writing, though, so it takes a minute to get used to his particular style. Still a great read.

This sounds like fun! Like kandscreeley said, I think I'd choose one if the review books for New author. Have to think about the other prompts though. But all of your suggestions sound great! And I didn't know Anita Blake was set in Ireland 🤔 Hah, gonna go check that list :D

Love this challenge...thanks!

For January, I'm currently reading Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover.
Bonus #1 for acknowledging the Chinese Zodiac will be Pogo's Tale: The Life of a Therapy Dog by Linda Lutes.
I'll post again for February and March and Bonus #2. What fun!
