What I loved most was character development. There is nothing I did not like in this book. It is worth being read by everyone.
I love historical fiction as well. I wasn't pulled in when I read the sample of the book. Perhaps I need to give it a second chance. Thanks for your glowing recommendation.

I do not prefer books on war but I really like the characters in the book.
It was really well made and very entertaining with the comedic aspects.
Though it got dragged on going into the last few chapters.
But other than that its a 4/4 for me.
I would recommend to people who love to learn about war and love war action scenes.
Although, I should also recommend it to people who like comedy side to their books.
It's a great book for adults and young teens alike.

I enjoyed the friendship between Jamie and Jacko. It was also interesting to see the subplot of Matt, the serial killer, being developed and resolved in the second part of the book. I appreciated the cultural information the author included about Egypt and Australia. I give this book a 4 for keeping the reader's interest and for the professional editing (less than ten errors.) I would recommend the book to lovers of historical fiction and to history fans in general for the unique perspective this author brings to this major war.

I enjoyed the comedic approach the author took even though the book revolves around war. Krater has a way of pulling at your heart while at the same time consoling you with laughter. My only issue with the book is that it drags a little towards the end. Nonetheless, it's deserving of a 4/4 rating.

I don't typically like war type novels but from what I have read so far I am really enjoying this one. I love that it has more to it than just action. The characters are very well developed and there is even some humor to it, which one would normally not expect in a story about war. I couldn't put the book down when I was reading the sample pages, so I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book. So far I give it 4 out of 4 stars. Great job to the author!

I am very fond of reading historical fiction, besides the entertaining story there is also a lot of useful knowledge in the story, historical fiction must be so, so that everyone who reads it has useful knowledge, not just imaginary fiction and I give 4 out of 4 for this book by Greg Kater.

I would give this book a 4 out of 4. I love watching war movies especially those based on real life events. I feel some sort of empathy with the real life characters who are represented by actors.
This is my first time of reading a war themed novel. I did feel like I would be bored because of the military codes used but to my surprise, I didn't find it bothersome at all.

It aint easy to talk about war in a humorous way. War tends to invoke feelings of sadness and of fear. It is commendable for the writer to have used a humorous approach to write the story.
