What do you think about his Dreams and visions?

Post by aolayide »

Do you think the author would still have those dreams even if he was not born again?

When he was on the brink of suicide, he heard a voice telling him to change the way he lives his life and to think positively. Also, he was saved when he was about to get mugged. Would you say he is special? Maybe the reason why Jesus does not want anything to happen to him is that he wants him to find the essence of his teachings and give it back to the world.

What do you think? Share your thoughts.

Could Jesus be wanting this of all of us? Or is he just extra special?

I think God can use anyone at anytime, and the method chosen can include dreams and visions. The difficulty with dreams and visions is trying to find the right words to convey it clearly. To try and describe a supernatural occurrence isn’t easy, so I commend him on a job well done for that. Dreams and visions can be up for interpretation as well. They are so personal to each individual that it takes discernment to know what the real meaning is.

As far as divine protection, I believe in it. He was called to complete a mission in this life and it seemed like he was given a invisible lifeline to keep on going to fulfil this.

In my opinion, we are all special in God's eyes and He wants us to come to repentance and gain salvation. God is not happy when He sees bad things happening to people, which is why we all rely on His protection.

In my opinion, I believe Jesus wants one thing or the other from all of us. We are all on different assignments and missions for Jesus. And, Yes, I think he is also special, but so are we all.

I strongly agree with you. Most times, we misinterpret the true meaning of the dream or vision we are privileged to see. It takes divine discernment to understand the true meaning. Thank you for your input.

I do agree. The author may have just been more open than most people which could explain his visions.

"Would you say he is special?"

Maybe, but I think all of us have this kind of voice inside us. Might not be a literal voice or as dramatic as that, but we just have to listen.

I wouldn't think he is special from the instance where he hears and believes in his inner voice. I think all of us have intuition and a voice inside guiding us towards our right direction. It is just about listening and believing in it. If you really start to believe in something, you'll develop a mindset for it. I think positive thoughts do have power over our actions and direction of life.

I think that the character, just like any person, has an intuition about what is right and what is wrong. His desire to live and find the essence of life must have saved him.

I think that every soul has its mission to complete in this lifetime. Suicide would have cut his mission short, so divine intervention was necessary. I believe Jesus saved him.

I would agree with aolayide who says we are all given gifts in life, and should use them for the greater good. The author is special in that he has more ‘spiritual’ gifts than most. But I also believe that if something bad had happened to him to prevent him from speaking out, another would had taken over. The messenger is not important; the message is, and it’s then up to us as individuals to take out what we want and need from the lessons offered.
