ARA Review by watkins of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

In It Together by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes
Rating: 5 out of 5

A well-written book by an obviously intelligent author. It is very well-edited. I read fast and tend to mentally correct obvious errors and miss most typos and simple errors. Nevertheless, I notice several errors in most books. In this book I noticed none. There were no sentences, though technically correct, that could be read two different ways. Kudos!

I believe strongly in Earth's system of evolution. It's magnificent and seemingly perfect. But should we humans allow it to operate unimpeded? Should we allow less-fit humans to die or hungry children to starve? Should we allow Mother Nature's effort to evolve diseases that focus on her most unfit to go untreated?

Apparently, the answer to the above questions is no. Humans are a product of evolution and therefore the development of our empathy, compassion, and caring is a part of the scheme of evolution. Mr. Hughes's book delves into human conflicts and interactions as we evolve and develop our compassion and empathy toward our world and its creatures.

Mr. Hughes' book is very good but it's not perfect - as they say, nothing's perfect. It's too wordy in places. As the critics would say it's "overwritten".

A great book. It will make you think.
