ARA Review by Mai9 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Author Eckhart Aurelius Hughes is a book that aims to inspire readers to find inner peace and spiritual freedom through the power of love. The author breaks down the message piece by piece, using a friendly, kind, and humorous tone to tie together philosophy, spirituality, and self-help with long-standing universal truths from all ages, regions, and times.

The book's central message is that deep down, we are all one and the same. The author shows how phrases such as "self-discipline" and "spiritual freedom" refer to the same thing. By being self-disciplined, one can achieve spiritual freedom, and vice versa. The author explains that the key to achieving both of these things is to embrace love, both for oneself and for others.

Throughout the book, the author includes quotes from a diverse array of philosophers, artists, scientists, and spiritual teachers. These quotes support the central message and add depth and context to the author's ideas. Some of the individuals quoted include Albert Einstein, Alan Watts, Carl Jung, Osho, Sam Harris, Ram Dass, Meister Eckhart, Eckhart Tolle, and Friedrich Nietzsche, among others.

One of the strengths of this book is the author's positive and encouraging attitude. The author inspires readers to accept themselves, flaws and all, and move forward with a more positive mindset. The book is well-organized, with clear and concise chapters that guide readers through the various aspects of the message. The writing is engaging and accessible, making it easy for readers to connect with the author's ideas.

However, one area where the book could be improved is in the depth of its analysis. While the author does a good job of presenting the message, there are times when more exploration of the ideas would be beneficial. Additionally, some readers may find that the book is too simplistic, and would prefer a more nuanced or complex approach.

Overall, "In It Together" is a book that offers a profound message of love and spiritual freedom. While it may not be for everyone, those who are seeking inner peace and a positive outlook on life will find much to appreciate here. The book tears the reader apart and puts them back together again to have a happier life with more spiritual freedom. The author's positive and encouraging attitude inspired me to accept myself with all of my flaws and move forward more positively. For these reasons, I would give the book a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
