ARA Review by Andromeda Flynn of Blanket Immunity

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Blanket Immunity by Adam Van Susteren is a story about Jo, an experienced law professional who used most of her experience defending the innocent. Jo nervously opens up a new office beginning her journey in criminal defense law after being denied a position as a judge, which is her dream. Jo's first client, Brad is a police officer charged with stalking and raping a young woman Cassie. Jo meets with the district attorney and get Brad blanket immunity in exchange of giving up his career as a police officer. Afterwards Jo recieves a disturb email that causes her an inner dilemma. Meanwhile, Jo has 2 other clients, one she met through her original client that challenges her morals further than anyone else could. Will she choose the right path or fall into a life helping the guilty get what they desire?

Blanket Immunity by Adam Van Susteren is a well written novel with the perfect amount of twists and turns to keep you wanting more. Once the story sucks you in, your chances of putting it down are slim. It's a wonderfully read by a talented author.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars as there is nothing I could add to make this a better novel. The characters are believable, carry reasonable emotion and thoughts, and nothing is too unrealistic. It was a joy to read. It ends on a positive note, which I like because cliffhangers are just a plea to buy another book. This novel ends with you wanting to read the next one, not by a forceful ending event, but because there is the perfect amount of intensity, likablity, and eloquence.

Adam Van Susteren is a talented, professional writer and I look forward to seeing more books written by him. He is a perfect story teller.

Normally I am terrible at remembering names of characters, but it was easy to do so with this book as there are few main characters and they are easy to follow along with. I enjoyed meeting Omar and discovering who he is and the choices he makes. Everyone should read this book if looking for a thrill and sitting down with a genuinely good book.
