ARA Review by Kathy Smith 7 of Wonders in the Waves

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Wonder in the Waves: Inspired by Love That Does Not Die, by Jennifer Collins. It’s wonderful story about a family drama that starts by losing a child and they go through trying to find a long-lost missing child. As, they live in coastal Florida and go through their day to day lives in Florida. This book gets 5 out of 5 stars.

The sorrow of losing a child so young and finding another child. Finds the audience heartfelt with emotions of motherhood and how to deal with ongoing family problems. Psychological of grief of what people have to do to overcome this pain and how they all deal with it together. How they found the child, the agencies, online DNA, and other people was like an episode of Lost and the search was also helpful for someone trying to locate a missing child.

What I liked was the people in the book the characters were brought to life like the son who wanted to find his half-brother. And Eric, the brother, he got involved in finding him with the endless searches his mother went through he was there for her. Dealing with the loss of child can have bad and good effects on people including your whole family.

What I didn’t like was I lost track of all the characters there were too many to count. But with the excitement of family life and how they all worked together to find the lost child it just added to the story. And they all were great characters just adding to the feeling of the award-winning book.

I would recommend this to someone who has lost a child or looking for a child they gave up. Someone who likes shows like Lost. Or anyone who likes a good book about family and belonging together through tough times. It’s inspiring book worth anyone’s energy and time.
