ARA Review by Ismail Errahili of King's Envoy

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

The first book in the fantasy trilogy Artesans of Albia, where magic is real and only a select few people are born with the ability to use it, is titled King’s Envoy. Taran Elijah, a young Artesan who is striving to realize his full potential, is the protagonist of the novel. He makes the foolish decision to journey to Andaryon, the fifth realm, against the advise of his friends in the vain hope of finding a tutor who can assist him.

The trip of Taran is fraught with peril and excitement. He must contend with formidable foes, surmount apparently insurmountable challenges, and make challenging decisions that will have far-reaching effects. He gains knowledge about himself, his abilities, and the true nature of friendship along the journey.

Along the process, he discovers more about himself, his abilities, and the true meaning of bravery and friendship.
A well-written and interesting fantasy book, King’s Envoy. The world-building is intricate and deep, the plot is thrilling and suspenseful, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. The novel is also bursting with heart, humor, and hope.

I heartily suggest King’s Envoy if you enjoy fantasy books. It’s a fantastic beginning to an exciting new series.

Here are a few aspects of the book that I found appealing:

•The characters have depth and are likeable. As I followed Taran’s path, I found myself rooting for him since he is a likeable and realistic protagonist. Also well-developed were the other characters, and I relished getting to know them.

•The plot has a lot of tension. There are many surprises along the road to keep the reader on their toes, and I was always interested in learning what will come next. The world-building is in-depth and captivating. I had the impression that I was right there with Taran as he explored Albia because of how well the author brings that world to life.

•The novel is bursting with heart, humor, and optimism. Despite some gloomy passages, the book eventually has an uplifting message.

I think King’s Envoy was a fantastic book overall. I’d suggest it to enthusiasts of the genre as a well-written and interesting fantasy book.

Here are a few elements of the book that I found objectionable:

•The conclusion seemed to be rushed. There seems to be a few unfinished business, in my opinion. Some of the supporting characters in the novel could have benefited from a little more character growth.

However, I think King’s Envoy was a fantastic book overall. I’d unquestionably suggest it to readers who enjoy fantasy books.
My rating of this book "King’s Envoy " is 4/5
