ARA Review by iamSuperLA of Blood Moon's Fury

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

BLOOD MOON'S FURY

It's been a while since I stumbled into a book that has me drawn from page one, making me lock myself in my room for a day just because I couldn't put it down. It is one of those books. Those books that pull you into the pages like you are one of the characters. Walking with them and experiencing everything with them as the story unfolds.

From the start, it was a bit of a slow burner for me. Honestly, I thought it would take me a week or more before I could finish the book, but as soon as I started I couldn't let go. Every chapter kept me on the edge of the pages, wanting more. Wanting to know what happens next.

The author seamlessly included everything that hits the sweet spot of someone who loves mystery, magic, dark humor, and drama. Someone like me. Every chapter was like peeling back a never-ending onion of revelations and character development, making you love and hate the characters at the same time. The depth of each character truly made this book a marvelous read.

You might think that it was a typical high school story but then the plot thickens. Stereotypical high school characters that actually worked and were not cringy to read. Amy (the fierce heroine), Zach (the heartthrob), and Charles (the quiet nerd) are typical high schoolers with their own normal teenage problem when they suddenly get dragged into a more dark and sinister sacrificial drama. The backstories of each character may it more engageable and thrilling to read.

Somewhere in the middle of reading the whole book you might even question if you're still reading the same story. The magic and mystery of the book are already thrill-worthy but the subtle humor and sunshine make the book all too relatable. Relatable in a way that not every story should be just rainbows and butterflies or dark rooms and cloudy days. Every story should have both.

Despite being an amazing stand-alone book, you can definitely see that the author left a bit of room to work with if they choose to continue that story. And I, for one, would be all too willing to grab a copy if one does come out, making this book a 4 out of 5 read.
