ARA Review by Ana Maria Luisa of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

I have pondered most of my life on the concept of love. Such a concept is difficult to quantify, impossible to understand.

As humans we are born unformed, helpless, and the most adult dependent animal in the kingdom.
This creates a ferocious need to be cared for; our survival depends on it.

Yet, 'In it Together' confirmed my belief that there exists in us and in every living thing an energy so magnificent that it can transform us from the inside out. Beautifully written, this book encourages us to seek beauty in our struggle and only by learning to overcome the obstacles that hold us back can we find inner peace. Self awareness that leads to us taking responsibility for ourselves and our actions, will lead to personal growth. Only then can we connect to the power of Universal Love.

The author inspires us to look at our ego. The human ego has always been the cause of much conflict in families, in communities, in countries. It is a destructive and negative force that causes the breakdown of families, relationships and on the world stage, much bloodshed, poverty and destruction.

I loved how this book inspires us to let go of the ego, let go of everything that holds us back. It reinforces my belief that from the moment we are born we are letting go from one stage of being to the next; from dependent tiny baby we let go of that stage and learn, learn to walk, we become independent. This process continues until is time for to let go of this life. This book illustrates all of these concepts beautifully.
