ARA Review by Nals_true_as_a_boo of How to Write a Novel in 20 Steps

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Review of “HOW TO WRITE A NOVEL IN 20 STEPS”, by Adam Van Susteren.

Do you have a brilliant idea in your head that you would absolutely love to put onto paper? Do you have the appropriate skills to write a book, and not just any book? One that will be an eye opener, an imagination stirrer, an attention grabber, or better yet... a best seller! HOW TO WRITE A NOVEL IN 20 STEPS is the stepladder you need.

Whether you are an amateur writer, a freelancer, or a professional writer, this book is a fantastic read for simple, straightforward tips on how to up your pen game. There is never enough skills, right? It provides the basic and most unnoticed necessary lessons “from findng your idea” and writing to “selling your book” and marketing. There are five basic steps and a more indepth evaluation of the twenty steps.

Despite the deep passion of any writer to continue pursuing their own book, unwanted states overcome us all such as fatigue, demotivation, and feeling inadequate. This book has just the answers you need to keep you going to finish that potentially groundbreaking book you have right under your nose. Susteren dives into the importance of reading other books, gaining the support of others to exchange reviews and uses a variety of rhetorical questions so as to allow for the reader's introspection and invite them to engage in the book itself.

Fortunately, the book is not excessively long and a bore. It has summed up facts and short advice under each topic which is also a great help if you just want to jump to a certain subject at a particular time.

I give this book a 4 out of 5 rating. It is well edited but contains a few grammatical errors and fails to mention some well needed steps in the writing world such as making sure you keep yourself mentally healthy as the book writing process tends to leave many authors traumatized by it or discouraged at most.

Besides the quick steps to take on the go, it offers great advice on the innovative writing journey that will sure raise your eyebrows in surprise and help you level up because, ... why not?
