ARA Review by Jemiimah of Wandering Feelings

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Boyko Ovcharov's novel, "Wandering Feelings," which deviates from the typical boy-meets-girl storyline. In this narrative, the boy's family is threatened by his intelligence and sophistication, while the girl's parents are depicted as self-centered and avaricious, denying their daughter her rightful inheritance.

The central question raised is whether two individuals, bound by shared experiences of familial neglect, intelligence, and moral sensibilities, can endure and thrive in a challenging environment. Despite facing adversity, the protagonists find joy in each other's company, portraying true love as a resilient force.

The summary also highlights specific scenes, like the boy buying a teddy bear for his newfound love, contributing emotional depth to the story. Ovcharov's writing style is described as highly philosophical and poetic, prompting readers to contemplate deeper aspects of life.

According to S. R. Mallery, the author providing the commentary, "Wandering Feelings" is not a lightweight summer read but rather a work that offers a profound and lasting literary experience. The novel encourages readers to reflect on meaningful themes and adds a layer of philosophical exploration to the conventional romantic narrative.

I therefore rate this book 5 out of 5
