ARA Review by SATHISH 1 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Compassionate In It Together by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes:

As far as self-help books go, Eckhart Hughes's work is one of the most touching. Life often feels isolating and fragmented, however, In It Together guides us through these collective struggles, revealing hidden perspectives of beauty. These reflections reveal society's inherent flaws that turn out to be beautiful once looked through with kindness as “embracing life” brings people together.

Struggle as a Shared Journey:

Hughes particularly concerns me since he does not romanticize struggle. Instead, Hughes portrays struggle as an element that connects us all. Hughes uses soft storytelling and gentle, yet thought-provoking prose throughout the book, which allows him to easily prove his point - every single heartbreak, every form of struggle, and every form of suffering that goes unvoiced exists within a consolidated life journey that encapsulates all of us.

An Intimate Voice:

It seems as though Hughes has dwelled in the same dark corners as his readers. Instead of remaining distant, he now reaches out from inside the void. The depth of fosters in Hughes's work stems from the vulnerability and honesty infused throughout. Calm and warmth radiate from every page, even when discussing deeply human struggles like grieving, anxiety, or the overwhelming need to “have it all together

Simple Truths, Deep Impact:

Instead of bombarding the audience with detailed explanations, Hughes centers on simple and universal truths—such as love, presence, compassion, and connection with others. These concepts are elegantly unpacked in short chapters that are easy to read and reflect on. The book promotes deep reading combined with a slower pace—a gentle reminder to appreciate every moment.
