What a great story. My husband loved it! We are both sailors so it hit home to us. How many times have we come close to a tug boat though not in the Northern Pacific. This will put fear in your soul. As this tug boat races to a burning ship, they arrive to find the ship abandoned. What starts as a good deed becomes one of greed and competetion.


It is hard not to include spoilers in this one. Two life boats on the abandoned ship create some confusion. Several victims are rescued from freezing cold water with a lack of food and water but where are the others? The team from the tug will not abort the rescue so the search for survivors continue.


This nail-biting story of courage from the men and women surviving against incredible odds will keep you on the edge of your seat. It makes my adventures in the sailboat seem small but I still treasure my memories. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy adventure and surviving against the savagery of nature. You'll want to wrap in in a warm blanket at the end as you feel the bitter coldness enfold you.
