ARA Review by swayback of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

For the past few years, I have battled cancer, which had dire effects on my "meat suit" and some of my other clothing. The thought of being as close to death as I was pushed me far into better understanding the here and now as what is important, and accepting any situation as it is.

"In It Together" is a well formed philosophy about understanding the difference between your real self and all the other yous presented to the world throughout your life. It explains concept in a way that is about as concise as one could get dealing with this type of subject matter.

The best part of the book for me was the list of suggestions given to help the reader find their way to finding their true self, or spirit, or what Father Richard Rohr would call the "Universal Christ". I will use the list to remind me of important things I should be aware of, especially when I find myself backsliding (which is easy and often)

I highly recommend the book to anyone who is serious about finding their place in the universe.I rate the book 5 out of 5.
