ARA Review by teresamaley of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

"In it Together" is the consummate philosophical journey that isn't squishy, not cliche, but puts all the pieces together to inspire and uplift the reader on a path to inner peace, freedom and self improvement. This book is a refreshing, non-judgmental take on seeking and finding.

I would strongly recommend this book to anyone. I rate this book 5 out of 5 because of the interestingly woven roadmap that is life's journey, carefully and artfully presented to the reader while also giving the reader the "so what"--newfound freedom by letting go of closing yourself to others and the big picture.

Doing less, better and striving to eliminate overpromising, as well as embracing discomfort are new ideas for me after reading this book. The ideas in this book are not only thought provoking, but they are also uplifting. Learning to let go of resentment, accepting others as they are and letting go of my past self is another great way for self improvement.

Holding myself hostage to my own imperfection has spilled over into how I see others--this book raised my self awareness and my understanding of the angst this has caused me and it's something that I can strive to improve and work to eliminate.

I don't think there would be too much difference in answer to the opening question in this book--thus, we all share so many similar things that we should all better share our understanding of each other. This book is a gift.
