ARA Review by Jefffrey of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Well-written and highly-emotional.

Thought provoking and reassuring, on several levels. Nicely organized in its development to the main topic of us all being connected, somehow, even if by nothing more than human emotion.

The author captures the essence of failings in modern society and relates these failings to the faulty relationship individuals have with their own spirit. The author asserts that people tend to not realize their spirit is only a small part of an overall collective from which all spirits of all people are part. He substantiates this relationship with a number of emotionally provocative examples and ultimately presents eleven suggestions for one to improve their relationship with their spirit. These examples are references to worldwide situations and specific characteristics of people.

The book first establishes that you have a spirit and then approaches the topic of one’s spirit being connected, associated with, and related to all other spirits. He uses common sense to address in a rather subtle yet clear and direct manner weaknesses inherent in human nature that interfere with one’s spiritual connectivity.

Everyone should read this book, regardless of your religious, secular, or spiritual, belief and philosophy. This nonfictional work is written in the style of a novel so one can follow in their imagination a continuously evolving story. Occasional bits of humor break the seriousness and lets the reader become fully immersed in the book.

To the nay-sayers and haters, I suggest you jump to the end of the book and read the eleven suggestions first. This will help set the context, believability, and basis for the rest of the book.

As someone interested in better understanding and improving the human condition, I found this book to be both helpful and enlightening.
