ARA Review by KJJohnson_24 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

This book is full of true conscious love. Some of the truths will jar you, some of them will make you think, but it is a deeply spiritual exploration. It holds that "you are not your clothes." I struggled with the concept that we can't help others because we can't help ourselves--but while not always true, it is true some of the time! I love what the author says about saying that we are spiritual roses in the same spiritual garden, all connected.

The concept of the Two Yous is an intriguing one. Although not new, it speaks to a universal truth: there is a real you and there is a false self, a mask. The real you is full of true conscious love.

This book quotes Albert Einstein, Descartes, Wayne Dyer, and Shakespeare. If you enjoy THE POWER OF NOW (written by someone with a similar first name), you will truly enjoy this book.It also reminds me very much in spots of Louise Hay.

I gave it five stars because of the spiritual quality.

5 out of 5.
