ARA Review by Kathy Smith 7 of The Secrets To Living A Fantastic Life...

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

The Secrets to Living a Fantastic Life, Two Survivors Reveal the 13 Golden Pearls They've Discovered, written by Dr. Allen Lycka and Harriet Tinka was a good book and deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars for is positive tone and teaching positive thinking to the readers. It puts positive reinforcement inside people that might need some encouragement along the way of their busy lives.

This book is the two authors talking back and forth with stories about how they live their live and were successful. Each chapter has a powerful pearl of wisdom, and they comment about each of the 13 golden pearls. With quotes from people like Mother Teresa, Mary Tyler Moore, and Mindy Kaling, they add to the value of the story. These positive thinking tools are used to help people through their daily live and upsets similar to their own.

I like this book because its upbeat and very entertaining like again the quote from Mother Teresa "Honesty is transparency makes you vulnerable. Be honest and transparent anyway." Along with the quotes, charts, links to other web sites, and numerous stories made it enjoyable reading. Tinka was in beauty pageants and modeling when something ruined her career. But with help from other people, she shares her story on how she came back for pain and despair and is successful again.

The book was a little short I would have liked to see it a little longer because it was so interesting. It was only 165 pages and had only 13 golden pearls, I would have liked to have seen a little more.

I would recommend this book to anyone who suffered some sort of loss and needed some encouragement to get back on their feet. For anyone who suffered the same sort of setbacks and didn't think other people also suffered them, in this book they see other people move forward in their lives.
