ARA Review by Latonia R of Lets Talk! a story of autism and friendship

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Title: (Lets Talk! a story of autism and friendship)

I read this book and it is very interesting, informational and fun to read. The cover of the book is very colorful and inviting to readers. The book consist of two young girls meeting for the first time and are very different but become friends.

The author dedicated this book to her family, It is very well spoken and beautiful. I can relate to some of the things she wrote about. She has been writing since she was 7 years old. The story is very heartfelt you can feel the passion and dedication she put into writing this book. The characters seem very happy when they meet and excited to meet again throughout the story!

The characters meet in the summertime they love the summer air and love to swim. The first time they meet it was a little complicated but then they enjoyed each other company. The characters were smiling and having so much fun until it was time to go home. It was hard to say goodbye but their mom's reassure them they can play again the next time. I like how the author portray the characters in this story it seem very realistic to me. I like the illustrations throughout the story as well.

While at home one of the girls was thinking about her new friend and had a lot of questions. She ask her mom about her new friend and her mom answer the best she could. Her mom explained why her friend is so different than her. The girl understood and was so excited to see her new friend again. The character seem so excited to meet her new friend despite the differences they have. I like that the author provided a lot of information here when the mom was explaining to her daughter about her friend.

All summer the two girls got to know each other better and had a good time playing together. As the summer was coming to an end the two girls were feeling sad that they would not see each other again. But their mom's promise them to keep in touch and they did.

I really enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read another one from this author.

I give this book a 5 out of 5 because I really enjoyed reading it and it can be a good awareness tool for someone interested in reading it.
