ARA Review by Areej_ali of Herai

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Herai is a fantasy novel that explores the concept of alternative realities and the power of choice. The book follows the life of Herai, a young woman who lives in an underground stone city that is isolated from the outside world. In one reality, Herai is sent on a dangerous mission to the Outside, where she encounters new friends and foes, and discovers secrets about her past and her destiny.

In another reality, Herai is attacked by a mysterious assailant, and her life is turned upside down by betrayal, intrigue, and violence. The book also features an omniscient narrator who observes and manipulates both realities, as well as a mysterious Old One who has a hidden agenda.

The book is well-written and engaging, with vivid descriptions and realistic dialogue. The author creates a rich and complex world, with different cultures, religions, and magic systems. The characters are well-developed and relatable, each with their own personality, flaws, and goals. The plot is fast-paced and suspenseful, with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing. The book also raises interesting questions about free will, fate, morality, and love.

The book is not without its flaws, however. Some readers may find the multiple perspectives and timelines confusing or hard to follow. Some scenes may be too graphic or violent for some readers’ tastes. Some aspects of the world-building may be unclear or inconsistent. Some characters may act in ways that are not logical or believable.

Overall, Herai is a captivating and original fantasy novel that offers a fresh and creative take on the genre. It is a book that will appeal to fans of fantasy, adventure, mystery, and romance. It is a book that will make you think and feel, and leave you wanting more.
